The Crowne Place Paris Republique was a perfect hotel experience for our getaway to Paris. The staff was very friendly and helped us with everything that we needed. We arrived in Paris early (around 8:00am) and were allowed to store our luggage in the hotel's secure luggage room. This enabled us to see the sites and not waste time waiting around for the 2:00pm check-in time. The room was everything that we needed. The couch folded out into a bed which gave us plenty of sleeping room for our party (3 people) and would have been enough room for even more. We purchased an international outlet adapter (needed) and the internet access (wired) was very reasonable (* Euros for 24 hours unlimited). On site breakfast was very good but a little pricey (but not the most expensive meal we had while in Paris). We look forward to our next trip to Paris and will certainly consider this hotel again.

Stayed here October 25 - 29, 2009 and was shocked upon arrival; the hotel looked nothing like the grand hotel that was advertised on the internet. In fact, most taxi drivers weren't familiar with the Crowne Plaza because it used to be a Holiday Inn. It would have been helpful in our decision making if the name change had been mentioned in the online advertisement. Although the check in/front desk staff were very professional and helpful, we learned that rooms with views of the grand courtyard advertised online didn't exist and inorder to get a room with a view we had to pay an additional $* per night for a clubhouse room . So much for having a picnic in the park across the street from the hotel; it was mostly occupied with homeless people. Also, there was no room service nor could one obtain a hot meal in the hotel lobby bar after 9:00pm. However, there were quaint taverns /restaurants within walking distance of the hotel that stayed open all night; the food and service at these establishments were excellent.

Stayed for one week and were impressed with everything! The rooms were wonderful, the daily breakfast is exquisite, and the restaurant on site is superb. It is so much fun to sit in the cocktail lounge looking out on the street and watching the world go by! Beautiful experience!

07/28/2009The location is excellent and in general terms is a very good hotel,. however, traveling with a minor, i found room service very limited as well as tv offerings.
